    Islamabad Embarks on an Eco-Friendly Journey with Electric powered buses

    Great soar toward sustainable city mobility, Islamabad has acquired the 146 electric-powered buses as a part of its brand-new public transport initiative. These marks the first delivery of a total 160-bus fleet whose purpose is to revolutionize this city’s transit system.

    Final Batch on the Horizon

    The Capital Development Authority (CDA) stated that the last 14 buses are coming from China, and they will soon reach here. This will complete the much-awaited fleet that will promise to deliver greener and more environment-friendly transportation to the residents of Islamabad.

    Charging Infrastructure Underway

    To support this environmentally friendly fleet, CDA has started working on a charging station at Zero Point. Although the assignment was facing delays due to previously tendered cancellations, progress is back on track as a new soft has been issued at reduced rates. The first phase focuses on installing electric chargers and designating parking areas along with newly proposed bus routes.

    Electric buses will significantly alter public transportation in Islamabad, aided with the purpose of considerably cutting carbon emissions and providing an efficient alternative to regular fuel-powered vehicles.
