According to the details, the selectors dropped fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf from the ODI squad. Similarly, they excluded Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam from the T20 team.
Head coach Aaqib Javed revealed these decisions during a press conference. He confirmed that Salman Ali Agha has replaced Mohammad Rizwan as the T20 captain. Shadab Khan will serve as the vice-captain for the T20 squad. Salman Ali Agha will lead the team in the upcoming T20 series against New Zealand.
Discussing the ODI team, Aaqib Javed stated that Mohammad Rizwan would take charge as captain. The selectors did not include Saim Ayub and Mohammad Hasnain in the ODI squad.
