In a recent appearance on the FHM podcast, Zoya Nasir spoke about how influencers often present a curated, idealized version of their lives that doesn’t reflect reality. She pointed out that much of the content shared on social mediais fabricated to appear perfect. Which leads young viewers to believe in a distorted image of success and happiness.
Nasir acknowledged that it’s ultimately up to the audience to decide whether or not to follow influencers, but emphasized that influencers have a responsibility to be honest about the content they produce. She believes that they should be more transparent with their followers and avoid promoting a fake lifestyle.
