King Charles is reportedly considering Pakistan as one of the countries he would like to visit during his international trip next year. This is part of a strategy to recommence royal visits after a string of delays.
Having recently returned from a successful tour of Australia and Samoa, the monarch is already making preparations for two additional international journeys in the year 2025. He has provided encouraging signs of his health. Reports indicate that Buckingham Palace is currently finalizing the details and discussing preparations.
The royal medical team is currently evaluating Italy as one of the potential places they are exploring, according to The Sun. However, the list for the second trip will include Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh.
The then-Prince Charles traveled to Pakistan with his wife, Camilla, for a weeklong tour in 2006. During this time, he emphasized his profound affection for the country, stating that it had taken him “nearly 58 years” to finally visit Pakistan. He expressed his appreciation for the journey by saying, “It has taken me very nearly 58 years to reach you, and it’s not for want of trying, I can tell you.” His words at the moment underlined the significance of the journey.
More recently, Prince William and Kate Middleton engaged in a five-day tour of Pakistan with the purpose of strengthening diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Furthermore, King Charles took an unannounced trip to India, where he spent some time at a wellness center after finishing a royal tour. This visit came after he had completed his tour of the country. The monarch himself most likely provided the funding for this trip, according to sources.
However, King Charles has not officially announced the details of his upcoming overseas trips. This is because discussions between the royal medical team and Palace authorities are still ongoing.
