Kotli Sattian, a scenic hill town in the newly established district of Murree, is set to become a major tourist destination with the opening of a chair lift cable car system in April 2025, after a delay of four years. The local government has granted approval for the installation of the chairlift, which will offer breathtaking views of the rugged black mountains and dense forests in the area.
A budget of Rs 1 million has been allocated to prepare a feasibility report for the chair lift project, with additional funds expected depending on the bids received during the tendering process. The government has indicated that international companies may participate in the feasibility study to ensure high-quality implementation of the chairlift system.
The introduction of this chairlift and the development of the resort area are expected to significantly boost the local economy. Providing job opportunities for the residents of Kotli Sattian, an underdeveloped tehsil.
